Landscapes Unlimited is proud to have been recognized for our efforts on some of the most notable golf course and recreational development projects. Receiving awards and recognition is not the intent of creating aesthetically pleasing spaces; rather, it is a testament to the uncompromising standards and consistent quality exemplified by our employees.
Golf Inc's "2013 Development of the Year", was won by Citic Shanqin Bay Golf Club, a LU built by LU. This beautiful course located in the tropical Chinese island of Hainan has also been ranked #78 on Golf Magazine's "World's Best 100 Courses." This is the first time a Chinese course has made the list.
The Golf Industry Magazine annually presents awards for excellence to companies within the golf course construction industry. LU has been awarded the “Golf Course Builder of the Year” award a record of four times. The Golf Industry Magazine recently changed the award structures, and in 2006 LU was awarded Creative Award for best new construction, in 2007 was awarded the Heritage Award for the best reconstruction project and once again in 2011 was awarded the Creative Award for best new construction. Unique to the recent award was that it was delivered on a turn-key basis, with LU being responsible for overseeing the design and constructing all elements of the project.
As the leader of our Company, Bill Kubly has been awarded numerous national and regional awards. For the past six years Bill has been recognized by Golf, Inc. to be one of the top 25 influential persons in the golf industry. In 2000, Ernst and Young awarded Bill the “Entrepreneur of the Year”. In 2006 he was elected into the Nebraska Business Hall of Fame. The American Society of Irrigation Consultants awarded Bill the 2009 Roy Williams Memorial Award and most recently, Bill has been selected by the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA) as the 2012 Donald Ross Award recipient.
LU is a Charter Member of the Golf Course Builders Association of America (GCBAA). Bill has served as President of the GCBAA and Chairman of the GCBAA Foundation, the GCBAA philanthropic subsidiary. Recently Bill served as the Chairman for the Golf Course Superintendent Association of America’s Environmental Institute for Golf. Kurt Huseman, LU’s President has served on the board of the GCBAA for over eight years and is a past President of the GCBAA.
