Since 1976, Landscapes Unlimited has been dedicated to attracting, hiring, and developing the most talented people in the golf course industry, then empowering them to build long-lasting relationships. This approach has helped to make Landscapes a nationally and internationally recognized leader in the golf course investment, third-party management and construction and irrigation sectors of the market.
Founded by Bill Kubly, Landscapes Unlimited’s first project was a $23,000 irrigation renovation executed from a used Keebler delivery truck. Bill managed all projects until he hired his first full-time employee in 1985.
After eclipsing $1 million in sales in 1980, Landscapes Unlimited is named one of Inc 500’s fastest-growing privately owned companies. Bill would later be named Inc Magazine’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” in Real Estate & Construction in the year 2000.
Landscapes named “Builder of the Year” by Golf Course News in back-to-back years.
Landscapes begins its first international project – Sandy Lane Resort in Barbados. The company would continue global expansion, including projects in Mexico, China, Dubai, and Scotland.
After completing renovation work on several major-championship venues through the years, the 2017 US Open at Erin Hills is played on a course Landscapes built from the ground up.
Landscapes Unlimited is a result of the aspirations and dreams of William “Bill” Kubly. Bill’s personal commitment and aspirations have been the driving force behind one of the best-known, honored and successful names in the golf industry for over 40 years. In addition to construction and renovation of some of the most familiar golf courses in the United States, the company has been steadily expanding its footprint in the sports field industry and the international marketplace. Today, the company has a presence in China, Mexico, the UAE and Europe. Over the years, Bill’s own portfolio of golf course investments has included more than 20 courses. Naturally then, the company expanded into providing management services to these and other properties.
Bill is a past President of the Golf Course Builders Association of America (GCBAA) and currently serves as President of the GCBAA Foundation as well as a recent past President for The Environmental Institute for Golf. In addition, he has been actively involved with such local and national community efforts as Junior Achievement, Sticks for Kids and The First Tee. Bill is a Registered Landscape Architect and holds his Bachelors of Science degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Wisconsin.
John Pugliese serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Landscapes Unlimited. In his role, John is responsible for leading the operations and strategic direction, financial and investment activities, and corporate and business development initiatives across the LU family of companies. He joined the Landscapes team in 2011 and works closely with the leads of each of the companies within the Landscapes Unlimited umbrella to ensure that the company’s mission, values, and industry leading expertise produce tangible value for our clients and rewarding work environments for our people.
John has a background in real estate, finance, and small business operations. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
Over the last 20 years, Jim Flynn has been a member of the Landscapes family, working in planning, construction, project management, operations, and marketing. As President of Landscapes Development Company, Jim works across all functional areas on complex, multi-year projects requiring everything from site planning to go-to-market strategy.
Jim’s wide range of experience and commitment to excellence make him uniquely suited to identify and align the resources – from the Landscapes Unlimited or Landscapes Golf Management teams – required to bring the client’s vision to life.
Before serving as President of Landscapes Development Company, Jim was Chief Marketing Officer, collaborating on the successful launch of many notable projects, including Lost Rail, Ballyhack, and Sutton Bay. Jim’s team also led all marketing plan development, social media, websites, communication, and branding for owned and managed facilities.
Jim is an Illinois native and holds a degree in Communication Studies from the University of Kansas.
Bryce Juedes serves as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Landscapes Unlimited. Bryce started his career working in Public Accounting for Grant Thornton LLP. For the last 15 years, he has served in the roles of Controller, Vice President of Finance, and CFO for Landscapes Unlimited. As CFO, Bryce maximizes the return on assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, and reporting systems and safeguards assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing a system of internal controls. Bryce ensures legal and regulatory compliance for all finance and financial reporting functions.
Bryce is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Associated Builders and Contractors. He is a graduate of Midland University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting.
For purposes of control, coordination and continuity, Brian will manage the project from the pre-bid to job close out. He will visit the project frequently, helping the crews achieve cost and schedule objectives and handling challenges that may arise during construction. This will include but is not limited to; schedule management, budget and quality of work monitoring, and participation in weekly monitoring and updating.
Mr. Vitek has worked with LU for 19 years. Brian has a wide variety of experience through the hands-on work completed with Landscapes Unlimited. During his tenure, he has worked his way through the ranks from foreman to site superintendent to Project Manager to Vice President.
Mr. Vitek has a thorough knowledge of both field techniques involved in golf course and athletic field construction and has managed various types of delivery contracts such as Cost Plus, Design/Build, Design/Bid/Build (Hard Bid), and CMR. Brian has expertise in cost estimating, project scheduling, and overall project execution. Whether working in the field or overseeing Construction, Irrigation, and Landscape Superintendents, Brian brings hands-on expertise and experience contributing to LU’s overall Success.
Jake offers extensive experience in project management, agronomy, and on-site coordination used to facilitate the completion of complex design, installation, and construction projects in alignment with client expectations. Jake’s focus on stakeholder collaboration ensures precise deliverables in high-stress, fast-paced and evolving environments. Jake’s seasoned interpersonal skills aid in directing interdisciplinary professionals to complete requirements on time and within allotted budgets while enhancing cost-effectiveness and upholding quality assurance.
Jake earned a B.Sc (AGR), in Horticulture Science and Business from the University of Guelph, located in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. He is a Certified IPM Agent – IPM Council of Canada and a member of the GCSAA (Golf Course Superintendents Association of America) and the CGSA (Canadian Golf Course Superintendents Association).
Roy Wilson is President of Irrigation at Landscapes Unlimited. Roy has been with Landscapes Unlimited for more than 36 years, where he has spent time in every facet of the irrigation construction process. Whether working in the trenches or overseeing the entire Irrigation Division, Roy has brought his hands on expertise and experience to help the Irrigation Division grow and become a very successful component of the overall golf course construction process. Roy’s responsibilities as President include the oversight and management of the Irrigation Division, its project managers, estimators and CAD designers, coordination with the Construction Division, bidding and negotiation to secure new projects, and major material purchases, and job cost monitoring.
Roy obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Blackhills State University in South Dakota.
Cesar is an employee success professional with 25 years of experience within the golf course, recreational development, and healthcare industries. Cesar has extensive experience in the areas of Talent Management, Health, and Safety. Cesar is responsible for leading the human resources department, including recruitment and placement of our labor force working throughout the continental U.S. and overseas markets. Cesar also has a deep understanding of the U.S. Government Non-Immigrant Visa Programs. Cesar communicates fluently in both English & Spanish which has been invaluable in his 23 years with Landscapes Unlimited.
Kurt Huseman is the President of Landscape Unlimited’s Development and Construction Company. Over 40 + years, the Development and Construction Company has executed over 1,800 golf course construction and golf development projects, domestically and internationally, with an aggregate contract value exceeding $ 2 Billion USD. Prior to joining LU 20 years ago, Kurt was a Resort Development Manager. In this capacity, he hired LU to execute one of his projects. After completing this assignment, Kurt and LU joined forces, and he lead one of Bill Kubly’s visions of developing turn-key golf course developments.
The LU Project Development Team was very successful with this initiative and helped establish and expand LU’s influence both domestically and internationally. In addition to creating numerous strategic alliances, Kurt helped to establish the LU brand internationally with projects being constructed in China, Europe, Mexico, the Middle East, and the Caribbean. He has served as LU’s Development and Construction company for the past six years.
Kurt is a past President and Board Member of the Golf Course Builders Association of America. He graduated with a BS in Engineering and an MBA from Tulane University.

Brett has coordinated and managed the construction and renovation of over 30 public and private golf courses. Brett began with LU in 2000 as a foreman, moved into an assistant construction superintendent, was promoted to Construction Superintendent in 2005, and is now a Project Manager for the Southeast region. He has a tremendous amount of new construction and renovation experience at some of the most prestigious courses in the US.
Brett has expertise in cost estimating, project scheduling, and overall project execution. Whether working in the field or from his office in Augusta, GA. Brett brings hands-on expertise and experience contributing to Landscapes Unlimited’s overall success, predominately on the East Coast.

Mr. Fetherbay obtained his Associate’s degree in Landscape Development at SUNY Alfred in Alfred, NY, graduating with honors as “Most Outstanding Senior” for the Landscape Development Curriculum. Clay first started working for Landscape Unlimited during an internship in the summer of 1994. Upon graduation the following year, Clay was hired full-time and has been with Landscapes Unlimited since.

Mr. Grode has been with LU for 23 years, of which 7 of those years were spent in the field as a Field Superintendent. He has been directly responsible for installing some of the more complex irrigation systems Landscapes Unlimited has installed.

As Vice President, Mr. Morgan is responsible for comprehensive program management for turn-key golf and sports projects, including but not limited to golf course, clubhouse, maintenance facilities, support/ancillary facilities, amenities, sports facilities, infrastructure, and related site improvements.
Mr. Morgan has over 30 years of golf-related program/project management experience, the last 15 with Landscapes Unlimited, LLC. Formerly, he held project management positions with the PGA of America and several national golf course developers/operators. He has managed both domestic and international projects.
Mr. Morgan has been associated with dozens of golf-related projects, including resort, daily fee, municipal, university, and private facilities across the United States and internationally. Jack has a thorough knowledge of golf course, athletic field, infrastructure and vertical construction. He has managed a diverse portfolio of delivery methods such as Cost-Plus, Design/Build, Design/Bid/Build (Hard Bid), Design/Build/Operate, Construction Management at Risk and as CM Agent, Program Management, Owner’s Representation, Daily Fee and Private Club Management, and Consulting.
In addition to golf and athletic fields, his experience includes institutional, resort, conference center, hotel and hospitality development, public/private partnerships, Native American projects, total renovation, and facility management/operations. Jack brings hands-on expertise in all of these fields, contributing to Landscapes Unlimited’s overall depth of experience.

Mr. Arndt has been with Landscapes Unlimited for over 27 years. He has worked his way through the ranks from Foreman to Manager Construction – International, spending six years as a Project Superintendent, six years as a Project Manager, and five years as the Regional Project Manager for the Rocky Mountain Region, Pacific Northwest, and Midwest Regions of the United States, two years as the Operations Manager and two years as the International Construction Manager.

Curt has been with Landscapes Unlimited as a Project Manager for over 18 years and has been with the firm for over 34 years. He has been responsible for overseeing three to five projects simultaneously and coordinated and managed the installation of over 70 golf courses, both public and private facilities.
Curt focuses on consulting and participating in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting. Curt will visit the site frequently and meet with the project team to ensure the project goals are being executed. Working closely with the project superintendent, he will help make sure the crews achieve cost and schedule objectives, as well as handle any challenges that may arise. He will ensure that resources are there promptly and will be involved with the project from start to finish.
Rodney brings strong safety background to Landscapes Unlimited. Rodney has worked as a safety director in construction and general industry for 20 plus years. In addition to his practical experience in managing safety, Rodney also has a degree in safety and occupational health, and holds several nationally recognized safety certifications.

With over 31 years of industry experience, Tim has a thorough knowledge of the field techniques involved in golf course and athletic field construction. He has coordinated and managed the installation of over 220 golf course, park, and sports field irrigation systems, both public and private facilities.
Tim has overseen a range of delivery contracts, including Cost Plus, Design/Build, Design/Bid/Build (Hard Bid), and CMR. His expertise spans cost estimating, project scheduling, and overall project execution. Whether in the field or managing irrigation operations, Tim’s hands-on expertise and experience have significantly contributed to Landscapes Unlimited’s overall success.
Juan has been with LU for nearly 13 years. He has managed the installation on both high end renovations and large scale new construction projects. Juan’s tremendous work ethic, attention to detail and special ability to work seamlessly with the client and consultant is the key to his quality installations.
